To enhance interpersonal relationships among employees, invigorate the corporate atmosphere, strengthen corporate culture, and boost team cohesion, the company organized a two-day company-wide team-building event on August 12, 2023.
This event was held in Zhoushan City, Zhejiang Province. As it coincided with the peak tourist season, traffic was heavy on the roads; however, the congestion did not dampen everyone’s enthusiasm for the outing. Around 2:00 p.m., employees arrived one after another at the Daqingshan Scenic Area on Zhujiajian Island in Putuo District.
The Daqingshan Scenic Area boasts breathtaking scenery, much like the description in Cao Cao’s “Viewing the East Sea”: “The waters are so tranquil and serene, the mountain islands stand tall and imposing. Trees grow in dense clusters, and myriad grasses thrive luxuriantly.” At such a sight, everyone instantly forgot the fatigue of the journey and rolled up their trousers to wade onto the beach, savoring the cool embrace of the sea. Amidst all the fun, they also made sure to snap some photos, capturing this rare moment of relaxation.
After enjoying themselves to the fullest by the seaside, everyone set off by car for dinner, pausing along the way for a scenic drive around the island. The breathtaking views of azure seas and endless blue skies outside the window left everyone feeling both refreshed and uplifted.
With the peak season for swimming crabs just underway, we decided to dine at a bustling street-side eatery in Shenjiamen. One plate after another of fresh seafood was brought to the table, its enticing aroma and vibrant colors making everyone’s mouth water. The lively, down-to-earth atmosphere of the stall—complete with live karaoke and a refreshing, slightly briny sea breeze—was utterly captivating. By the end of the meal, everyone was thoroughly satisfied: the bone-chillingly fresh seafood paired with the light, crisp taste of Putuoshan beer made it impossible not to feel that the trip had been well worth it.
After a hearty meal and plenty of drinks, the employees checked into the Sheraton Zhoushan Green City Hotel. A day of sightseeing had left everyone exhausted, and they soon drifted off to sleep.
At seven o’clock the next morning, after enjoying a sumptuous hotel breakfast, everyone set off once again for Mount Putuo. As one of China’s Four Sacred Buddhist Mountains and a renowned sanctuary of Guanyin, Mount Putuo is also among the first batch of National Key Scenic Areas designated by the State Council, earning it the celebrated titles of “Buddhist Kingdom at Sea and Sky” and “Sacred Realm of the South China Sea.” On the ferry bound for Mount Putuo, the breathtaking sight of the seamless blend of sea and sky was truly awe-inspiring.
After landing on the island, the employees braved the scorching sun as they made their way to pay respects at the Guanyin Statue of the South Sea and Puji Temple, praying for the smooth operation of the company and the health and safety of their families, before posing for a group photo.
At noon, everyone enjoyed a fully vegetarian banquet on Mount Putuo. After a brief rest, we boarded the boat and headed back down the mountain, concluding this impressive journey on a high note. This team-building activity reinforced our sense of unity as a cohesive team, highlighted how Lingzhou is a warm and welcoming family, and underscored the company’s thoughtful efforts in organizing such an enriching event. With the Zhoushan trip now over, we take time to reflect on the experience before diving into a new round of work. We are confident that each of us will approach our tasks with renewed energy and even greater enthusiasm!
