China Petroleum Launches Beijing VIb Fuel Ahead of Schedule to “Green” the Winter Olympics

China National Petroleum Corporation has already supplied over 120,000 tonnes of Beijing VIb-grade fuel, making a significant contribution to improving the capital’s air quality and supporting a green Winter Olympics. Following the release of the Beijing VIb fuel standard, CNPC took the lead in upgrading its fuel products and began supplying them to Beijing and surrounding areas ahead of schedule—three months earlier than the December 1 deadline for the full implementation of the new standard.
